The XOLO Prime flaunts a 4.5-inch IPS LCD (480 x 854 pixels) capacitive multi touch display. With a pixel density of 218 ppi the smartphone offers sharp and decent viewing angles from all directions. The smartphone comes draped in a 9.5 mm glossy outfit and is available in black, red, and blue colour variants. It also features an Accelerometer and a Proximity sensor.
Configuration and UI
The smartphone is powered by a quad-core Cortex A7 processor clocked at the speed of 1.3GHz and sits on a MediaTek MT6582M chipset. Working in tandem with the processor is a 1GB RAM and a Mali-400 GPU to ensure decent multitasking and allow users to run multiple apps simultaneously, surf the web with shorter loading time, stream beautifully lag-free videos and enjoy a premium gaming experience. The all new smartphone sails on the latest Android v5.0 (Lollipop) OS.
Camera and Storage
The XOLO Prime is armed with a decent 5MP autofocus rear camera with LED flash and a digital zoom. It also packs in features like Face detection, Geo tagging, High Dynamic Range mode (HDR), Smile detection and Touch to focus. The camera also facilitates HD video recording. The smartphone however disappoints as it comes with a mediocre 0.3 MP front snapper.
Battery and Connectivity
The smartphone is fuelled by an average 1800 mAh Li-ion battery that has the capacity to deliver a talktime of 10 Hours and 400 Hours standby time on 3G. The Dual Sim(GSM+GSM) smartphone comes with multi-faceted connectivity features such as- 3G, GPRS, EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11, b/g/n, Mobile Hotspot, Bluetooth v4.1, GPS/ A-GPS and USB connectivity.
