Display and Design
Netbooks, by definition, have to be small and portable with excellent battery backup. With the Aspire One 725NU, Acer has done the same. Sporting an 11.6 inch Active Matrix LCD display with a display resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels, the Acer 725 is uber portable. The high ppi makes viewing in sunlight extremely easy. It is packed in a stylish compact body with rounded off corners for easy portability.
Processor and OS
The Acer Aspire One 725NU is powered by a 1GHz Dual core processor from AMD alongside 2GB’s of DDR3 RAM and an integrated AMD HD6290 graphics processing unit. The processor clocking at just 1GHz is not able to handle heavy processing requirements and is only suitable for light applications and web browsing. Though, watching HD videos is comfortable with the strong GPU which has excellent rendering capabilities and allows for stutter free viewing. Windows 8 Home basic comes preinstalled with this.
Storage, Multimedia and connectivity
The Acer Aspire One 725NU comes with 500GB of onboard storage space, which is more than sufficient for netbook usage. The device lacks a DVD slot to make it more compact and thus connectivity is only limited to one USB 3.0 port, two USB 2.0 port, Wi-Fi, and an HDMi port.
Battery
The 4 cell Li-Ion Battery does a good job of keeping the laptop up and working for a long times, especially due to the low clock speed of the processor which does not tax the battery too much. So you can be rest assured that it will provide hours upon hours of usability.
