In addition to a reliable camera system, the Vivo X100 Pro also delivers a stunning display, fast and smooth performance with the Dimensity 9300 chipset, and blazing-fast charging, among other things.

Verdict: The iPhone 15 Pro Max comes as one of the most significant upgrades in recent years, and not just because of the Type-C port. It shines in the performance and display departments, and boasts capable cameras that shoot excellent stills and videos. On the other hand, charging is still slow, and you need to shell out quite a bit to acquire one.

If you`ve been holding out for a new iPhone for years, the iPhone 15 Plus is the one to buy.

Improved build quality and hinge, a brighter screen, S Pen features, software tweaks designed to aid productivity, all mated to buttery-smooth performance, reliable battery life and decent cameras make it a no-brainer if you covet a book-style foldable.

Verdict: The Samsung Galaxy S24 Plus is the perfect middle child and a solid upgrade from its predecessor. It gets a bigger and brighter display as well as a solid battery life. Moreover, Samsung promises 7 years of software support, keeping it in line with Pixel phones, and excellent performance. The only drawbacks seem to be hit-and-miss AI features and okay-ish cameras.

Verdict: The Google Pixel 8 Pro looks more polished than its predecessor, brings a bright and rich display, and tons of AI camera features that are yet to drop. But beyond everything else, Google promises a whopping 7 years of software updates. This essentially means the phone will stay relevant until 2030, but its performance might not hold up well until then due to an underwhelming Tensor G3 chipset.

Verdict: The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 feels like a more refined iteration of its predecessor. Although I would have liked to see more significant changes, the updates are still greatly appreciated. Performance, camera quality, and battery life have all seen notable improvements. Additionally, the crease is less pronounced, and the overall design appears cleaner. While charging speeds might not fully satisfy, the enhanced AI contributes to a more enjoyable user experience.

Verdict: The iQOO 12 stands out as the fastest Android smartphone currently available. It also earns high marks for its exceptional viewing experience, loud speakers, incredible cameras, great battery life, and blazing-fast charging speeds. That said, there is wireless charging support yet, and the software, which has been refined, still leaves room for improvement.

This is complemented by reliable performance, a versatile camera setup, optimised battery life, rapid charging speeds, and a clean OS with AI features.

Purists might not like the bunch of pre-installed apps it comes with, and there are some small issues in terms of how the cameras handle light flares. However, Google needs to be considerate of the Indian smartphone market and price its devices more thoughtfully to gain an edge.

Verdict: The CMF Phone 1 is competitively priced in India, making it a compelling choice for those who enjoy experimenting with smartphone aesthetics. In addition to interesting design features, the handset offers reliable performance and a clean user interface. The phone`s battery is optimised to last a full day, depending on your usage, and delivers a decent viewing experience too. The handset would have been an easy recommendation if it had not been for the cameras and slow charging.

It also offers a long battery backup, though the charging speed could be improved in the next iteration.
