If you can do away with the Linux OS by say, installing an OS of your choice, the Acer Aspire E5-571 (NX.MSASI.001) can prove to be a worthy laptop at a decent price. It is efficient enough to handle standard business related tasks smoothly. The powerful battery backup deserves a mention as well.

Display and Design

The Acer Aspire E5-571 (NX.MSASI.001) offers greater amount of brightness with a LED backlit TFT CoLour LCD display featuring CineCrystal technology. The 15.6-inch LED backlit display comes with a resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels. The 30.3mm thick blue coloured outfit has a weight of 2.5kg and not only look chunky but may not be preferred by professionals as well.

CPU and Platform

Under the hood, the laptop houses a 1.9GHz Intel Core i3 processor from the fourth generation and sitting on HM87 express chipset. It works in tandem with a standard 4GB DDR3 RAM expandable up to 8GB through two unused DIMM slots. With the Intel HD 4400 GPU, you can have fun with simple games and videos only. It runs on 64 bit Linux OS.

Camera, Storage and Multimedia

The Acer Aspire E5-571 (NX.MSASI.001) is armed with a Acer Crystal Eye webcam which can shoot HD videos and provides smooth video calling experience. For storage purposes, it houses a 500GB SATA HDD. It also has a DVD RW drive so that you can easily exchange files via disks. Powered by MS Sound Compatible technology, the double stereo speakers put up an impressive multimedia show.

The Acer Aspire E5-571 (NX.MSASI.001) is fuelled by a 6 cell Li-ion battery promising to provide up to 6 hours of interruption free service. You can stay connected via VGA port, digital media reader, Bluetooth v4.0, two USB 2.0 ports, one USB 3.0 port, Gigabit Ethernet, HDMI out and WLAN.
