If you need a laptop within a low budget, you can certainly opt for the Acer Aspire ES1-511 (NX.MMLSI.003). Despite being affordably priced, it sports some impressive features like optical drive, durable battery and HD webcam. The most attractive one however is the latest Windows 8.1 OS which is extremely easy to use.

Display and Build

The Acer Aspire ES1-511 (NX.MMLSI.003) features a 15.6-inch TFT Colour LCD display with LED backlit. The Active Matrix panel poses visuals with enhanced brightness and has a resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels. It is wrapped in a simply designed black colored chassis which has a thickness of 27.2mm and a modest weight of 2.4kg.

Configuration and Platform

At the heart of the laptop, there is a 2.1GHz Intel Celeron dual-core N2830 processor. It is assisted by a 2GB DDR3 RAM which can be expanded up to 8GB with the help of the single DIMM slot. Rich videos and movies are managed by the inbuilt Intel HD GPU. It runs on the latest Windows 8.1 OS.

Camera, Storage and Multimedia

The Acer Crystal Eye webcam sitting above the display is capable of recording 720p videos and supports high resolution video calls smoothly. The Acer Aspire ES1-511 (NX.MMLSI.003) takes care of your storage needs with a regular 500GB Serial-ATA hard disk functioning at 5,400rpm. It also sports a DVD Writer which allows you to store files on disks and retrieve them when required. The stereo speakers provide HD Audio solution.

Battery and Connectivity

Armed with a 3 cell Li-ion battery, the Acer Aspire ES1-511 (NX.MMLSI.003) claims to provide uninterrupted service for up to 4.5 hours. The connectivity and networking features packed in the laptop include Gigabit Ethernet, Bluetooth v4.0, WLAN, HDMI out, 1 USB 3.0 port, 2 USB 2.0 slots and digital media reader.
