The Acer ES1-523 (NX.GKYSI.010) is an ideal choice for the people who want to buy an affordable laptop for normal day to day usage. The battery backup is good and a sufficient storage is available for creating and storing files. It runs on Windows OS which is very easy to use and the performance of the system is good for simple apps/game.

Display and Configuration

With the Acer ES1-523 (NX.GKYSI.010), comes a 15.6-inch HD LED backlit display which has a screen resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels. The shiny black coloured body measures 381.6 x 258 x 27.1mm and weighs 2.4Kg. The system is functioned by a 1.8GHz AMD APU quad-core A4-7210 processor assisted by 4GB of DDR3 RAM and integrated AMD Radeon R5 graphics card. The laptop boots on Windows 10 Home Premium OS which is very user-friendly.

Battery, Sound and Connectivity

The laptop gets its energy from a 3 cell li-ion battery which claims to deliver a backup for around five hours. The inbuilt monaural microphone captures clear voice recording and the dual speakers output good quality sound wave. Networking and sharing options include a Wireless LAN 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.0, one USB 3.0 slot, one USB 2.0 slot, an SD card reader, a headphone jack, a microphone jack and a VGA port.

Camera, Input Devices and Storage

A 0.3MP webcam is present in the laptop which comes in handy for video calling and recording purposes. An Acer FineTip keyboard, a precision touchpad and a DVD writer are the input devices available in the Acer ES1-523 (NX.GKYSI.010). As far as the storage is concerned, there is a 500GB SATA hard disk which performs well and features a speed of 5,400 revolutions per minute.
