Features such as ample storage, optical drive, superior RAM etc., make this laptop worthy to buy. However, one must notice that the laptop lacks preloaded Windows OS.

Display and Configuration

The Acer Aspire ES1-531 (UN.GFTSI.006) laptop comes with a 15.6-inch HD LED backlit display and features a screen resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels. The system is driven by an Intel Pentium quad core N3710 processor which runs at a clock speed of 1.6GHz. It is aided by 4GB of DDR3 RAM which can be increased upto 8GB as per the user desire. The laptop boots on Linux operating system sailing upon 64-bit architecture.

Camera and Storage

The user can get in touch with their close ones via video calling using the inbuilt webcam which is stacked above the bezel. One must keep in mind that he/ she needs to install video callings apps such as SKYPE, Hangouts, ooVoo, Jitsi etc. As far as the storage is concerned, the user can rely on a 1TB SATA hard disk present inside the system which performs well, be it transferring, editing, copying, pasting files etc.
