The Acer Aspire One S1001 (NT.MUPSI.001) Netbook is a smartly crafted laptop which can be easily carried around without worrying about the battery and converted into different modes as per requirement. It is suitable for basic web browsing only and comes at a reasonable price.

Display and Build

The Acer Aspire One S1001 (NT.MUPSI.001) Netbook sports a 10.1-inch IPS HD LED backlit display which supports a maximum resolution of 1,200 x 800 pixels and offers clear viewing from wide angles. The multi touch panel can be used for browsing the web or accessing apps without touching the keyboard.

It is encased in an attractive looking silver coloured outfit which has a weight of 1.2kg and can be easily converted into different modes simply by swivelling the screen. You can also detach the screen from the keyboard and use the former separately as a tablet.

Processor and OS

The netbook drives its processes with a 1.3GHz Intel Atom quad-core Z3735F processor from the fourth generation and paired with a 2GB DDR3 RAM. It runs on latest 64 bit Windows 8.1 OS to render intuitive user experience on the touchscreen.

Camera and Storage

The Acer Aspire One S1001 (NT.MUPSI.001) Netbook is armed with a 0.3MP webcam and inbuilt microphone and takes care of the storage needs of the user with a standard 500GB SATA hard disk running at 5,400rpm.

Battery and Connectivity

Packed with a sealed Li-Po battery, the Acer Aspire One S1001 (NT.MUPSI.001) Netbook can deliver up to 8 hours of backup. Connectivity options include WLAN, digital media reader, Bluetooth v4.0, HDMI out and one USB 2.0 slot.
