Display and Configuration

The iPhone 5S offers a brilliant 4-inch Retina display, which has a resolution of 640 x 1136 pixels, translating into a pixel density of 326ppi. It is powered by the world's first 64-bit mobile processor, Apple's very own A7 chip. It is assisted by an M7 motion co-processor and PowerVR G6430 graphics.

Camera and Storage

The iPhone 5S features an 8MP rear camera with an improved TrueTone flash and Hybrid IR filter. It offers features like autofocus, face detection and panorama as well. In the front sits a 2MP shooter, which can be used for FaceTime and can record HD videos. There is 32GB of internal storage, which sadly cannot be expanded.

Connectivity and Battery

For connectivity, the iPhone 5s supports 4G LTE, Bluetooth, NFC and microUSB.

For an extra-layer of security, Apple has included a Touch ID fingerprint sensor to unlock the device. Battery life is estimated at 10 hours.

Apple iPhone 5s review in 2016: should you buy it now?

The iPhone 5s is available at a very attractive price, but should you be buying it now?

May 25 2016 By Sidhant Ryan Malhotra

Apple took the world by surprise by launching the iPhone SE (review)… Suddenly buying a 4 inch phone became an in thing rather than something one used to do in the past. But priced at around Rs 40,000, the SE seems to be too pricey for the convenience it offers. On the other hand, thanks to a recent price drop, yesteryear’s iPhone 5s is now available under Rs 20,000. This means that those who want an iPhone experience can now

The Greatest Smartphone
27 Dec 2013 By Sunoor Dwivedi On

I waited in line for this phone at launch day and I can safely say it was a great decision. This phone is simply the best phone ever made. nnBuild: Much has been said about the iPhone's build quality, nearly all of it good. Unfortunately, last year's iPhone 5 had some serious problems with the aluminum, which was easy to dent and chip. Fortunately, it seems that Apple has used a better grade of aluminium for this phone. It feels slightly rougher and is slightly harder to dent. The screen is the same that was available on the iPhone 5, so it should be just as hard to shatter. Sadly, the small panels of glass are still inlaid and just as hard to replace. Too bad if you end up cracking them. nnSoftware: iOS is famous for being fluid, intuitive and responsive, but it was also famous for its antiquated looks, lack of easy-access toggles, bad multitasking and lackluster notifications shade. Well, iOS 7 is here to fix that, with a fresh UI, an awesome notification shade, great multitasking and the most requested feature of all, a little something called 'Control Centre' which gives quick toggles for almost everything you could think of (except for mobile data, which is pretty unfortunate) and a built-in Flashlight (something which was missing in previous versions of iOS), all with a singe swipe from the bottom of the screen. iOS 7 may not be for everyone, but it's powerful and useful. nnPerformance: Let's face it, all of us were awed when Apple told us that the iPhone will have a new 64-bit processor. It was something which was unheard of! I started imagining all of the benefits of such a powerful processor and what the iPhone could do with that kind of raw horsepower. Those notions were immediately put to rest when I saw that the phone was better at load times in heavy games, but that was it. It didn't leave the iPhone 5 beaten and gasping for air. However, I then remembered just how fast the previous phone was. It's not that this phone isn't that fast, it's just that the iPhone 5 was ungodly fast. Plus, apps like djay 2 and Infinity Blade III really take advantage of that blazing fast A7 processor, delivering features that the old iPhone can't give because of it's older 32 bit processor. This phone is unbelievably fast, but the software just isn't powerful enough to take advantage of it. nnCamera: The camera is pretty impressive! The new processor and hardware enables a host of new features, like: n1. Burst Mode, which allows you to take photos at 10 pictures per second. n2. Slo-Mo, a cool new video mode which allows you to snap 120 FPS videos in 720p, which you can later slow down and get awesome action shots. n3. The larger aperture and sensor allow better low-light photos. The photos are less 'zoom'able than 13 MP photos, but they are higher quality, due to the larger pixels. Due to which, you hardly even need the flash on the phone. Speaking of which; n4. True-tone flash, for when and if you actually have to use flash. It prevents the horribly whited-out and unnatural colors which you usually get with flash photos. nBattery: The battery life is about the same as the previous iPhone, which is pretty impressive considering all the massive improvements. While it's nothing to write home about, it's still pretty good. nnAnd now, the thing that truly sets this phone apart from the pack; nnTouch ID: Apple's fingerprint sensor is something special. Until now, no company has ever figured out bio-metric security. No one before Apple, that is.Touch ID is easy to set up and even easier to use. Just keep your finger on the sapphire home button and that's it! The phone unlocks instantly. Seriously, this method is faster than the old 'Swipe to Unlock'. Making purchases is also easier now that you don't have to type in a password, but I don't get to use that a lot since I've come from an iPhone 5 and I already have all the apps I need. Still, it's pretty cool for whenever I need to make a purchase in the app store. nnSo, that's my review. At 62,500 for the 32GB model, the price is admittedly insane. However, if you decide to make the purchase you won't regret it. It's a solid device, even if it is pretty expensive,

The phone depends on your usage as all there differ in a huge margin not only in price but also the specifications offered. Iphone 5 s runs ios made by Apple and has a old chip as the phone was launched in 2013, it has a smaller screen and a small battery which will hardly last a day but if you love small screens then it might be a nice choice. While Asus Zenfone 3s max has a larger battery and runs Android which makes it a different platform, the screen has a nice display and competes with day to day multitasking. But Oppo A57 his targeted as a selfie centric phone with not good internals. All these phones have a huge difference in camera and price so it depends on you what you want and better.
