The Asus 1015E-CY055D Netbook flaunts a 10.1-inch HD LED backlit Anti Glare display which is designed to protect your eyes from unwanted harmful rays thereby enabling you to work for long without straining your eyes.
With a resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels, it provides rich and sharp viewing experience. It is housed in a black colored body which looks extremely chunky with a thickness of 36.4 mm but has an ultra low weight of merely 1.2kg which is a real bonus.
Processor and OS
At the heart of the device, there is a 1.1GHz Intel Celeron Dual Core 847 processor paired with HM70 Express chipset. To support the processor, there is an inbuilt 2GB DDR3 RAM which can be expanded up to 4GB through the single unused memory slot. Due to the absence of any external support for graphics, the laptop manages the same with the help of Intel HD GPU. Being a low end laptop, it runs on 64 bit DOS.
Camera, Storage and Multimedia
The Asus 1015E-CY055D Netbook comes with a HD webcam which works in combination with a digital array microphone to provide crystal clear and noise free video calls. For storage purposes, it houses a 320GB SATA hard disk operating at 5400 rpm. Such a poor HDD may cause storage problems. The onboard stereo speakers are powered by ASUS SonicMaster Lite.
Battery and Connectivity
The Asus 1015E-CY055D Netbook keeps the show running with a 6 cell Li-ion battery. It supports Gigabit Ethernet and WLAN so that you don't have any problem in staying connected to the web. Other connectivity features include Bluetooth v4.0, 2 USB 2.0 slots, 1 USB 3.0 port, HDMI out, digital media reader and VGA port.
