Asus Transformer Book Trio is not just a device but a concept well implemented. Doesn’t matter in which form you use it, it lives up to expectation. Though dual configuration adds up to the bulk, but that can be ignored considering, you have an option to carry the tablet only as well. Overall, it’s a device which worth every penny invested.
Display, OS, Configuration
Asus Transformer Book Trio comes with 11.6 inch Full HD IPS LCD capacitive touch screen and runs on a 1080x1920 pixel quality. It can be used as a Tablet, Laptop and surprisingly as a desktop as well.
Asus Transformer Book Trio has two separate units well integrated. The tablet which runs on Android v4.2.2 jelly bean is powered by 1.6GHz Intel Atom Dual Core processor and 2GB Ram. Another unit, which is a laptop dock, runs on 4th Gen Intel® Core™ i7/i5 Processor along with a 4GB Ram. The tablet when attached to the laptop dock, quits Android and boots up with Windows 8 OS.
What comes as most surprising is the capability of laptop dock to be used as a CPU independently. It can be attached to a monitor and could be used as a full-fledged desktop PC. At the same time, the tablet unit can be used separately as a completely different device.
It runs on and Windows 8. It’s powered by a 4th generation. 2GB RAM gives power to the tablet and up to 4GB RAM boost up the power through dock station.
