The Asus X53TA-SX096D laptop flaunts a 15.6-inch HD LED backlit display and boots on DOS operating system. It has a screen resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels and weighs 2.8Kg. In order to run the system, there is a 1.4GHz AMD APU quad-core A6-3400M processor aided by 2Gb of DDR3 RAM and 1GB AMD Radeon HD 6650 graphics engine. For better performance, the user can increase the RAM upto 8GB as per his/her desire. The laptop is available in a black coloured body which is shiny and glossy. Like other laptops, the Asus X53TA-SX096D also features a webcam above the bezel for video calling and recording needs. It has a resolution of 0.3MP and can capture 720p HD clear videos. The user can get in touch with his/her close ones over video calling or shoot recording.

Acting as an energy provider, is a 6 cell li-ion battery which claims to deliver a backup for around 3 hours. On the networking ground, the laptop offers a lot of options say a Wireless LAN 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v3.0, two USB 3.0 slots, an SD card reader, a headphone jack, a microphone jack and a VGA port. Input devices include a touchpad, a standard notebook keyboard and a DVD writer.
