Verdict

The Asus X53U-SX013D laptop comes at an affordable budget and offers very little features. The battery backup is good and the webcam captures nice quality videos. However, there are lot of better laptops around this price segment which feature quality elements along with preloaded Windows OS.

A budget friendly laptop

Display, Body Looks and Configuration

The Asus X53U-SX013D laptop comes with a 15.6-inch HD LED backlit display and runs on DOS operating system (64-bit). It has a screen resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels and is available in brown coloured body. The body measures 384 x 254 x 26.1mm and weighs 2.6Kg. Under the hood, there is a 1GHz AMD APU dual core E1-C-50 processor which acts a brain of the system. It is assisted by 2GB of DDR3 RAM which is expandable upto 8GB. An onboard ATI Radeon HD 6250 graphics card is present in order to output clear visualisation. 

Storage, Input Devices and Camera 

On the storage ground, the user can save a large number of different files in a 320GB SATA hard disk which revolves at a speed of 5,400 revolutions per minute. A 0.3MP webcam is armed above the laptop for video calling and recording needs. It captures clear videos and supports 720p HD resolution recording. The laptop features three common input devices - a touchpad, a standard notebook keyboard and a DVD writer.

Battery and Connectivity

The laptop gets its energy from a 6 cell li-ion battery which keeps the show running for long hours. The connectivity options available in the Asus X53U-SX013D are - a Wireless LAN 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v3.0, one USB 3.0 slot, one USB 2.0 slot, an SD card reader, a headphone jack, a microphone jack and a VGA port.
