The Dell Latitude 14 3440 features a HD LED backlit Anti Glare display that prevents the unwanted reflective rays. The 14-inch display gives a sharp and vivid viewing experience with a resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels. It is housed in a 25mm thick matte black colored body which has a weight of 2.2kg.
Processor and OS
The CPU used for driving the processes of the laptop is a 4th generation Intel Core i3 processor clocked at 1.7GHz and based on HM76 Express chipset. To support it, there is a standard 4GB DDR3 RAM which can be expanded up to 8GB via the 2 memory slots. The graphics is managed by the integrated Intel HD 4400 GPU. It runs on the recently launched Windows 8.1 OS of 64 bit architecture.
Camera, Storage and Multimedia
The Dell Latitude 14 3440 is armed with a HD webcam paired with a digital microphone. For meeting the storage needs of the user, the laptop is equipped with a 500GB SATA hard disk. It also carries a Tray load DVD RW Drive.
The input functions are performed by the chiclet keyboard and a touchpad supporting multi touch gestures. The laptop creates the ideal entertainment hub thanks to the stereo speakers powered by Waves MaxxAudio v4.0 Sound.
Battery and Connectivity
The Dell Latitude 14 3440 runs the show with a 4 cell Li-ion battery which is rated to deliver up to 3 hours of uninterrupted service. On the connectivity front, it looks impressive with features like Gigabit LAN, HDMI out, Bluetooth v4.0, 1 USB 2.0 slot, 2 USB 3.0 slots, VGA port, digital media reader and WLAN.
