The Dell Inspiron 15 3542 (354254500iBU) exhibits a glossy 15.6-inch HD LED backlit display supporting TrueLife technology and posing a resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels. It is wrapped in a simply designed black colored chassis which has a thickness of 25.6 mm and a weight of 2.4 kg.

On the inside, the laptop is packed with a 4th generation Intel Core i5 processor clocked at 1.7GHz and sitting on QM87 Express chipset.
