The presence of Ubuntu OS is disappointing but keeps the machine's price under control. Other notable features are HD webcam, optical drive and crisp speakers.

The Dell Inspiron 15 3542 (354254500iRU) has been designed to provide comfortable visuals with enhanced brightness courtesy a 15.6-inch HD LED backlit display with TrueLife and a resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels.

The red colored lid carries a soft finish so that you can hold it comfortably. It has an overall thickness of 25.6 mm and a weight of 2.4 kg. The presence of spill resistant keyboard allows you to work comfortably at coffee shops.

CPU and OS

For driving its processes, the laptop relies on an Intel QM87 Express chipset housing a 1.7GHz Core i5 processor from the 4th generation.
