If you are looking for a laptop that doesn't ask you to spend much and can deal with decent computing tasks, you can shortlist the Dell Inspiron 15 3542 (3542P4500iBU1). It is affordable and comes with a mediocre processor. But the most disappointing thing is the absence of Windows OS.

The Dell Inspiron 15 3542 (3542P4500iBU1) poses a 15.6-inch HD LED backlit TrueLife display which provides superior brightness and decent viewing experience with a resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels. It comes loaded in an unfussy black coloured body which is 25.6mm thick and has a weight of 2.4kg.

Processor and Platform

For driving its processes, the laptop is equipped with a 1.7GHz Intel Intel Pentium dual-core 3558U processor from the fourth generation series and based on HM87 Express chipset. Assisting it is a standard 4GB DDR3 RAM which operates at 1,600MHz and is further expandable up to 8GB via two DIMM slots. The integrated Intel HD 4400 GPU manages rich games and videos. It runs on 64 bit Ubuntu OS.
