If you are looking for a laptop that satisfies your multimedia needs along with being a decent gaming rig, while simultaneously being highly portable, the Dell 15R-7520 does a great job.

The multimedia laptop with good gaming abilities

Display and Design

The Dell 15R-7520 sports a brilliant 15.6- inch HD LED Brightview display with a resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels for the perfect 16:9 viewing angle. The display is bright and viewability in sunlight is pretty good. This is encased in a traditional dell, brushed aluminum body with a sturdy feel and excellent heat disposal.

Configuration and OS

The device is power packed with Intel's 3rd Gen i7 processor with a massive 3.1GHz clock speed to ensure that the device never stutters even when running extremely heavy applications and games simultaneously. This is augmented by 4GB of RAM, which can be expanded to 8GB if need arises. The GPU department is covered by AMD Radeon HD 7730M Graphics processor, which provides 2GB of graphics memory to give extreme response rates when playing high end games. 

Windows 8 HOme premium is preinstalled as the default OS on this Laptop.

Camera and Storage

The default camera is a 1MP HD webcam, installed bang in the top centre of the display, which makes video calling very easy and convenient. 1 TB of SATA Hard Disc, running at 5400 RPM is the default storage on this device. Although the memory is sufficient, the lack of a dedicated SSD results in slower boot up times. 

Connectivity and Battery

In terms of connectivity, Dell has left nothing to desire and fitted the 15R with all the latest tech. It has 3 USB 3.0 ports for extremely fast transfer speeds, Wireless LAN, Bluetooth v4.0 and HDMI output. Skullcandy provides the audio on this device with its speakers and coupled with waves maxxaudio 4, this is a great entertainment device.

The 6 cell Li-Ion battery keeps it running for about 3 hours.
