Story

The real Frank Pesce plays his own brother, Vito Pesce.

Danny Aiello was sick during his scene while telling Anthony LaPaglia that he's not a loser.

When Vic Noto (Auggie Falcone) was told that shooting for 29th Street was to take place in North Carolina he reacted, ""A NYC Mob style film in the South?". Vic didn't realize at the time, it was a Studio back lot NYC streets and location shooting seemed to match parts of Queens. "I got a kick out of the Italian/American Extras with the Southern accents".

The real Rocky Savv was an extra and can be seen at the end when Danny Aiello tells Anthony LaPaglia that he has the ticket.

Frank Pesce and Danny Aiello were also in a movie together in the 1980s called Defiance. They played neighborhood friends.
