The dog breeds that Bailey in each life are an elderly St. Bernard/Australian Shepherd, a female beagle named Molly, a male English Mastiff named Big Dog, and a Yorkshire Terrier named Max.
One part of the movie features Max and Duke, two dogs who live in an apartment in New York. Max and Duke were also the names of the two dogs in Secret Life Of Pets movies who lived together.
On May 11, 2019 Marg Helgenberger's predecessor in the role of Senior Citizen Hannah Peggy Lipton passed away due to cancer. Five days before the movie premiere.
This is the second movie Marg Helgenberger and Dennis Quaid have played husband and wife. The first was In Good Company.
