Unlike many films featuring an appearance by a tiger, the tiger who starred in in this film was fully grown. Two years later, this same cat made a brief appearance on Star Trek: Shore Leave (1966).
This was Sabu's last film before he died of a heart attack.
The Tigers were Serang and Sultan, owned and trained by Exotic Animal Trainer Ralph Helfer
Sabu died of a heart attack before this film was released. He was only 39 years old and was pronounced in excellent health before his passing.
