Hurricane Joaquin and what South Carolina calls a once-in-1,000-year flood occurred about halfway through the filming. The crew was evacuated from their housing and had to be temporarily relocated. Despite these circumstances, they completed principal photography.
Error by character: Chas's publicist tells him twice that she must go to Paris next weekend. Then she shows up in South Carolina without baggage, purse, rental car, or hotel reservation. Chas asks her "What are you doing here?" Suzy says "I had nothing better to do this weekend." Plus, no one told her that the wedding party was spending the night at the beach or what hotel they would have.
