Movie
The story revolves around Murali Krishna (Nandamuri Balakrishna), who is a farmer from the Anantapur district. In his village, he sees factionalism and tries to end it. Also, he goes to any extent to save his farmers from the turmoil and wants to bring peace to Rayalaseema. Saranya (Pragya Jaiswal), who is a Collector, comes down to the same district. After looking at Murali’s personality, she instantly falls in love with him and gets married in a short period. They were also blessed with a baby girl. However, their happiness was short-lived. The story also has an antagonist, Varadarajulu (Srikanth) who is a mafia. And Murali Krishna came in the way of his illegal mining. And thus, Varadarajula wanted to take revenge against him. What happens then? And who is Akhanda in this story? To get an answer to all these questions, you need to watch the film.
Why should you watch Akhanda?
Akhanda, directed by Boyapti Srinu, is an action drama. Starring Nandamuri Balakrishna, this movie has been one of the most anticipated Tollywood storylines. Balakrishna has always been like a God to his Telugu fans. And like in any of his other films, in Akhanda also he gave a Blockbuster performance. Boyapti Srinu developed two characters for him in the movie one we all know as Murali Krishna and the latter you will have to find out. Overall, he brought out his best in both roles. The movie also had other important actors like Pragya Jaiswal, Nithin Mehta, Shamma Kasim, Ayyappa P Sharma, and Viji Chandrashekhar. All of them gave decent performances.
As a Boyapti film, Akhanda also projected action-loaded scenes, with killings and blasts. Some of the action scenes were insane which the director brought on screen with immense conviction. The camerawork in the movie was great. And so was the cinematography. However, there are a few scenes that are disturbing yet can give you goosebumps. Like any other South-based movie, this one also had a lot of things going on with weaponry. From knives, guns, explosives, to even chilly powder, the goons used everything to beat Akhanda. However, this scene might be a little disappointing to the people who are Srikanth fans. We know how good he can play the role of antagonist. But, in this movie, he wasn’t given the status of “main villain”. Nevertheless, in this movie, the main hero is also depicted as an incarnation of God.
Thaman's background music is loud, yet it is a feast for music fans. The cinematography is of the highest calibre. Because there is a lot of latency in both sections, editing should have been much better. In a nutshell, Akhanda offers a dose of action blocks, like in any typical South Indian film. What you can expect from this movie are Balakrishna’s outstanding performance and some other mass elements.
