This film marks Sacha Baron Cohen's feature directorial debut.
The movie was filmed in secret, similar to Cohen's previous projects like 'Borat Subsequent Moviefilm'.
It had an extremely short theatrical window of only a few days before its streaming release on Prime Video.
Sacha Baron Cohen reprises not only Ali G but also characters from his 2018 series 'Who Is America?'.
