In April of 1986, CBS Sixty Minutes did a segment titled "The Defector" about Dean Reed. The next week it received an incredible amount of negative, hate mail from the USA viewers. Six week later, Dean Reeds fully clothed body was found floating in a lake near his home in East Berlin.
