Some scenes were filmed at the old Herald Examiner building in downtown Los Angeles, purported to be haunted. A crew member was walking up the stairs to the 2nd floor and the book in her back pocket was removed and thrown down the stairs - no one was with her at the time. Another crew member reported a door that would open and close by itself on the 4th floor.
When Lorraine finds the obituary written for her by Sarah, she points out that the year given, 1946, should be 1947. That's the year that the actress Meredith Baxter, who plays Lorraine, was born.
