Aoashi is a sports anime extraordinaire. It is the story of Ashito Aoi, a talented footballer, who must strive to make it big to pursue his passion to the fullest. The best thing about good animes, of which this is one, is that they have a beautiful story that builds up as we go along, superb characters who see a ton of development throughout the series, and some of the most emotion-packed and sentimental scenes that are sure to give you sympathy. The main protagonist is a solidly written character, with a focus on his personal and professional lives. The highlight of the show is the ultimate focus on mental growth, which makes it quite modern and forward-thinking. We are sure that once you start streaming this series, if you love anime, you will fall in love with this one too and end up binge-watching it nonstop.
Based on a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Yugo Kobayashi and based on a concept by Naohiko Ueno. It has been serialized in Shogakukan's seinen manga magazine Weekly Big Comic Spirits since January 2015.
