Laura Osnes (Julia Trojan) and Joe Carroll (Johnny Simpson) were both in the 2013 revival of Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella. Laura originated the role of Ella and Joe replaced Santino Fontana as Topher. Laura and Joe weren't in Cinderella together, however. Laura and Santino left together and were replaced by Alessa Neeck and Joe, respectively.
Joey Pero was involved with the Workshop for Bandstand. He also moved forward with the show to its world premiere at Paper Mill Playhouse in Millburn, NJ. He was injured in February 2017 and did not move with the musical to Broadway. He joined the Broadway production on June 30, 2017 in his original role of Nick, as well as performing as Nick when Bandstand had its two-night-only release in movie theaters all throughout the United States.
When Joey Pero was unable to make the transfer from Paper Mill Playhouse to Broadway due to injury, Alex Bender took over for him and originated the role of Nick Radel on Broadway. Joey later joined the Broadway production to play the character he had been working with and playing since the workshop about three years earlier.
The Lord's name is used in vain several times, as is the f-word.
