IMDbOne of the characters suspected of being Batwoman is Kathy Duquesne (pronounced Du-Kane). The creative team wanted to use the name Kathy Kane, which was the secret identity of the original comic book Batwoman, but DC comics refused to allow it since Batwoman acts a bit like a villain in the movie.
The Batwoman costume is very similar in design to the future Bat suit used on Batman Beyond (1999). The Batwoman costume differs a bit as it is silver, has red gloves, and a cape.
Hector Elizondo takes on the role of Bane, who was played regularly throughout the DC Animated Universe series by Henry Silva. This was due to Silva retiring from acting before production on the film began.
Bob Hastings' final portrayal of Commissioner James Gordon, before his death 11 years later.
Kathy Duquesne tells Bruce that her mother once told her she could be "another Carrie Mae Weems". Weems is a famous African-American artist who worked in many media, but is best known for her photographs.
