TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

Dwayne Johnson said he came up with the idea for his character to be such a huge Elvis Presley fan, and suggested the idea to the writers, who loved it and added it to the script. Johnson later said that when they asked how he came up with the idea, Johnson responded that he is Elvis' biggest fan, and much of the Elvis memorabilia his character owns actually belongs to Johnson.

Dwayne Johnson has said that this film will be the last film in which he will be credited as "The Rock".

Two bulldogs, named Tubbs and Tank, shared the role of Spike.

Includes a lot of references to Elvis Presley, including songs and posters. Those were added by director Andy Fickman and Dwayne Johnson who both are Elvis fans.

Originally the script called for the football team to be the New England Patriots, but negotiating with the NFL became difficult for producers so they made up the team name instead.

Popular Dialogues

"Peyton Kelly: My mom says that she fell in love with you because you played guitar and you sounded just like Elvis. Joe Kingman: Really? Joe Kingman: [in Elvis voice] Well, what do you think? Peyton Kelly: I think she was tone deaf, and you sound more like a wounded moose than the King. Joe Kingman: Ohh, a wounded moose?"

"Joe Kingman: I have an answer to your question, P. Win or lose today, you're the best thing that's ever happened to me."
