Yet another movie based on Sidney Sheldon's Rage of Angels. Dimple was the first choice to play the role of the charismatic lawyer. Dimple was under contract with Ramesh Sippy for Saagar refused the offer. Rati Agnihotri was signed. Despite good performances from Rati and Mithun the movie flopped. Rather than have Shashi Kapoor play a much married man his age in line with the original novel, the makers had him play a young man who is forced by circumstances to marry the baby faced Poonam Dhillon which may have been the weakest link, considering Shashi Kapoor had put on a lot of weight and no longer looked young.
