It was reported that two people fainted and one person vomited during the world premiere of the film at the Fantasia Film Festival.
The director, Chad Archibald, got married in Spain the day Bite had its Spain premiere. Chad and his wedding party attended the screening in which his wife threw her bouquet of flowers into the audience.
An ambulance had to be called to a premiere of the film, after an audience member hit their head falling while trying to leave. Also two other audience members fainted and another vomited.
The movie was featured on the cover of the November/December 2015 issues of the UK based Scream Magazine.
Caroline Palmer and Tianna Nori make cameo appearances as Hannah and Joanne, respectively. They previously portrayed the characters with the same names in The Drownsman (2014) and The Sublet (2015), both produced by the Bite (2015) director Chad Archibald.
