TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

The cast formed such a close bond that they all got matching tattoos of a blackbird on the last day of filming.

There are only eight cast members in the whole film. As such, they have stated that they felt like a family, and would take weekend trips together.

Diane Keaton was in initial negotiations to star, but Susan Sarandon was eventually cast.

Rainn Wilson joked that he said yes to doing the film after discovering that he would have a sex scene with Kate Winslet.

Despite playing an American family, Susan Sarandon, Rainn Wilson and Bex Taylor-Klaus are the only actual Americans in the cast. Sam Neill is from New Zealand, Kate Winslet and Anson Boon are English, Lindsay Duncan is native to Scotland and Mia Wasikowska is Australian.

Popular Dialogues

"Lily: Jonathan, you should never smoke weed unless you're dying. Jonathan: Okay. Lily: Or having sex."

"Paul: [offers Jonathan some wine] Jennifer: Eh... no, no, he won't. Jonathan: I've had wine before. Jennifer: When? Jonathan: [shrugs his shoulders] Jennifer: Well, it's illegal, so... you're not getting any. Jonathan: So is killing Grandma."
