TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

Sir Ringo Starr wrote and recorded a title song for this movie, but it wasn't used in the movie. It was released as the B-side of his hit, "Back Off Boogaloo".

This movie was refused a U.K. cinema certificate by the BBFC in February 1972, before being passed with heavy cuts four months later.

In the short documentary Looking For Richard (2015), Lloyd Battista recalled that this movie's production was "the most fun" that he and Tony Anthony had while making a movie, recalling that "Everything that usually goes wrong (went) right. We were blessed because we were so relaxed", and described Ferdinando Baldi as a gentleman. He noted that he, Tony, and Sir Ringo Starr would spend their off-time on Ringo's private yacht, smoking joints in a back alley, and eating "two dollar or three dollar" meals at restaurants that were also frequented by Peter O'Toole and Anthony Quinn.

Filming was briefly interrupted when Sir Ringo Starr left Almeria to perform in The Concert for Bangladesh (1972). Co-Producer Saul Swimmer directed the movie version of the concert, while Allen Klein financed both projects.

Coincidently, Lloyd Battista and Pino Locchi (who dubbed Battista in the Italian version of this movie) were at one time the primary dubbing actors for Terence Hill in the (American-produced) English and Italian versions of his movies.

Popular Dialogues

"Blindman: What... kind of a son of a bitch... puts a snake in a man's food?"
