None of Ron's snow globes were harmed during the making of this documentary.
First documentary to be directed by Edgar Wright.
The Maels hadn't seen Todd Rundgren since he produced their first album in the early 70s. Their surprise reunion on set led to a collaboration on the song Your Fandango released in 2021, 50 years later.
Edgar Wright appears as a talking head himself because Tim Burton bowed out of a planned interview at the last minute, and Wright didn't want to waste production time.
In deleted scenes included on the Blu-ray, the brothers revisit places from their youth, and perform in a Pizza Express that used to be the club were they played their first UK gig.
"Jack Antonoff: All pop music is rearranged Vince Clarke or rearranged Sparks. That's the truth."
"Edgar Wright: Are you brothers? Russell Mael: We are brothers. Edgar Wright: How did you first meet? Ron Mael: We are brothers."
