This movie was partially funded through Kickstarter, a crowd-funding website. The campaign was one of Kickstarter's most successful movie projects.
The cast went on vision quests to prepare for their roles.
Both Radon Randell (Page Kennedy) and Craig Shilo (Sam Jones III) make an appearance in the movie. In the TV show they were written off since the actors that were playing them had problems with the law. Sam Jones III because he was arrested by the DEA for intending to sell large quantities of oxycodone and Page Kennedy for similar reasons.
Due to amount of nudity and crude material written in the script, the production was banned from the original location and had to move,which caused a delay in schedule
The movie was delayed again due to crude humor.
