Traditional dancers and a choreographer from Prescott, AZ were hired for the Native American dancing which happens during a pivotal moment in the movie. Producers tasked the choreographer and Jude Herrera to include movement in which Herrera (in character) 'touches herself in a sexy manner' while she dances. Since there are no Native American dances in which people 'touch themselves in a sexy manner', together choreographer and actress devised a performance in which Herrera's character takes energy from the Earth and moves it into her body through her ears. Minutes prior to filming the dancing scene, it was communicated to Herrera by production that 'the studio just called wanting to make sure that the dance was sexy'. Kris Kristofferson, who was sitting next to Herrera when she received this message, turned to her reassuringly and said, "Did you get all that, darling?"
