Story
Teens P.J. and Goose get their thrills on BMX bikes, performing hair-raising tricks all across Sydney, Australia. Along with their new friend Judy, they discover a box of walkie-talkies -- and find out that a gang of criminals intends to use them to monitor police signals during a bank robbery. When they are selling the radios, a girl inquires "do you have any in a different color?". This is a reference to an Australian television program "The Inventors" (the precursor to The New Inventors (2004)) where one of the panelists was renowned for her queries about the colour range of new inventions (as well as whether any particular invention was safe for children). Her questions, "Does it come in any other colors?" and "Is it safe for the kiddies?", were often parodied on Australian television.

Nicole Kidman learned how to ride a BMX bicycle so she could be in this movie. Also, Kidman was chosen out of more than two hundred actresses who auditioned for the role of Judy.
