The real Jonathan Hickory is standing in the background during the ice-cream scene.
In the scene right after the baby's birth, Jonathan pours a drink and knocks over a baby bottle; in the background is a pink bubblegum cigar that says "It's a Girl!" This cigar was actually given to the real-life Jonathan by Stacy's dad when Stacy and Jonathan's daughter Ana was born.
Writer/Director Tim Searfoss' first full feature film; all his other works have been short films.
The actor playing the firefighter in the film is the real Jonathan.
