TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

Adrienne Barbeau mentions in her auto-biography that she partly took the role because she had always wanted to visit Russia.

Filmed during the coup d'état attempt in Moscow in October 1993. Barbeau still recounts when martial law was declared and that she feared that she will never see her family ever again.

Ever since its first release, Adrienne Barbeau has referred to this film only as "that rat movie".

Since the film required several topless dancers, Roger Corman suggested to Dan Golden that he contact the Bolshoi Ballet to see if he could cast some of their ballerinas. Golden convinced him that was a bad idea for two reasons: 1) It's a very prestigious organization and it wouldn't want their dancers prancing around naked; and 2) the ballerinas were all too thin with flat chests. Golden said that second reason swayed Corman most.

Filmed in Russia, but when Dan Golden returned to the States, he needed extra footage. So he gathered actresses he knew -- Linnea Quigley, Nikki Fritz, his wife Melinda Wesley, Marie Laurin and a few others -- put them in fur bikinis, and shot them to add to the brothel scene.
