    Canada's Got Talent is a Canadian reality talent show series that debuted on the City television network on March 4, 2012, and part of the global British Got Talent franchise. Canada's Got Talent features singers, dancers, magicians, comedians, and other performers of all ages competing for a cash prize of $100,000, a possible performance at a currently unnamed Las Vegas venue, a brand new Nissan GT-R, and a spot on Citytv's 2013 New Year's Eve Bash. On May 22, 2012, City put Canada's Got Talent on hiatus after one season. The broadcaster hoped to bring the series back in the future. However, in June of 2012, Citytv confirmed that Canada's Got Talent has been cancelled and will not be back for a second season in 2012-2013 due to high production costs and poor ratings.
