This cartoon marks as Pete's final pairing with Donald Duck in the Golden Age of Animation. They would never face each other again until the television show Mickey Mouse Works.
This would be the last short to use the original RKO opening title, starting with Spare the Rod, the opening title would be the Buena Vista version, the closing card would remain the same but without the color by/in technicolor and the distributed by RKO Radio Pictures byline on it.
The only cartoon to have Pete and Huey, Dewey, and Louie pairing up together until Mickey's Christmas Carol (1983).
This short is somewhat of a followup to the Silly Symphony cartoon Toby Tortoise Returns (1936).
"Spectator: [about Donald; calling out] The guy's yellow! Huey, Dewey and Louie: [calling back] He is not! Donald Duck: I am too. Let's go home."
