Story
A gang of thieves plan to make their fortune by stealing a shipment of contraceptive pills from Finisham maternity hospital. They assume disguises and infiltrate the hospital, but everything doesn't go according to plan. The last film in the series to feature "Carry On..." regular Terry Scott, this was also his last cinema film.

Patsy Rowlands says that Kenneth Williams mooned some guests when they visited the set.

Madeline Smith proved popular with the crew, so Peter Rogers asked her to come back for Carry on Abroad (1972), but due to work commitments, she had to decline. The part went to Sally Geeson.

The plot for the medical television drama that Doctor Goode and Matron sit down to watch is taken directly from Green for Danger (1946), which marked the film debut of Hattie Jacques.

The corridors in Pinewood Studios doubled for the hospital corridors.
