'Cash' is a high octane heist thriller set in Cape Town, South Africa.The film revolves around an ace con artist,(Ajay Devgan) who hires a set of top notch robbers (Esha Deol, Zayed Khan, Dia Mirza and Riteish Deshmukh) to steal a set of priceless diamonds in South Africa. The group also faces a threat from underworld don (Suniel Shetty), who is after the same diamonds and also the Head of Security (Shamita Shetty). How these three groups manage to thwart each other forms the rest of the story and makes it a nonstop adventure caper.

Esha Deol refused a stunt double and insisted on doing her own action scenes. She underwent training under an expert in Cape Town.
The film was originally suppose to be titled "Race". But the rights lay with Ramesh Taurani.
A number of titles for the film included "Anubhav Sinha's Cash," "Cash with right Baby," and "Gone with the Cash."
According to the script, the three heroes are related to the elements: Ajay deals with hang gliding (air); Sashank rides on high-speed boats (water); and Akshaye uses his roller skates in heists (earth).
The song "Naughty Naughty" was shot in one take.
"Ajay, Akshaye, Sashank, Sania, Shilpa, Esha, Vikram Ghoyal: [singing] Cash to the right of me, / Cash to the left of me / Cash all the money all the time all mine!"
