Cat Skin was originally shot as a short film in 2009.
Faye Sewell originally auditioned to play Cat.
Songs by Anti-Folk Punk Musician Seth Corbin feature throughout the film. Writer/Director Daniel Grasskamp is close friends with Seth and was listening to his music whilst shooting. Seth Corbin even wrote the track 'Be, Myself and Die' especially for the film.
Filming began in April 2014, but due to the low budget, the 20 production days were spread over a year. Filming was eventually completed in August 2015.
Post Production was finished in April 2016, but the film didn't have its festival premiere until April 2017.
