Shortly after its completion, Aberraciones sexuales de una mujer casada (1981) was acquired by Eurociné who released the film in France. Eurociné had new scenes shot by Olivier Mathot who used the pseudonym 'Claude Plaut'. These new scenes where flashbacks set in Paris and featured Olivier Mathot as Cecilia's uncle. The title was also changed to "Cecilia" and is the more common version to find while the original Spanish version is more obscure.
