TRIVIA

Trivia

The movie was originally about a little girl obsessed with smells, like writer/director Léa Mysius when she was young, but she didn't want it to revolve around the perfume industry. During the writing process, she read a lot of American authors like Jim Harrisson, Maya Angelou or James Baldwin, and ended up with a story with strong characters set in a remote area with gorgeous scenery. She didn't want to make a fantasy story either, but Vicky's obsession slowly became a magical power.

First feature movie for both Sally Dramé (Vicky) and Swala Emati (Julia).
