John Franklin and Gary Bullock are the only actors to appear in more than one "Children of the Corn" movie. Franklin originated the role of Isaac in Children of the Corn (1984), which was also his screen debut. Bullock appeared as a different character in Children of the Corn V: Fields of Terror (1998) (the farmer in the bar scene).

Just like the Friday the 13th, the Children of the Corn is one of the longest lasting horror series ever. Unlike Jason Voorhees, who is present in each Friday the 13th film as main villain, there are many different villains in Children of the Corn films.

In a 2016 interview with the Deadline Hollywood News, Stephen King admitted that he "could have done without" all of the "Children of the Corn" sequels.

First sequel in the series since Children of the Corn III: Urban Harvest (1995) to actually be a direct sequel to the first film. The sequels that came before this film were standalone films with self-contained stories.
