TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

Former New World exec Larry Kuppin picked up the filming rights, and quickly formed Trans Atlantic Entertainment with the purpose of producing sequels to several New World Pictures films. The initial line-up included Hellraiser III, Children of the Corn II, Wanted: Dead or Alive 2, Angel 4, and Crimes of Passion 2. Only sequels to Hellraiser (1987), Children of the Corn (1984), and Avenging Angel (1985) eventuated.

In a 2016 interview with the Deadline Hollywood News, Stephen King admitted that he "could have done without" all of the "Children of the Corn" sequels.

This would be the last Children of the Corn (1984) sequel to get a theatrical release, as every sequel that would soon follow went straight-to-video.

For the nosebleed scene, they had tubes that pumped fake blood through the frame of the glasses, then they angled it so it looked like the blood was coming out of his nose and not the glasses.

Terence Knox and Rosalind Allen who played the love interests in the film didn't like each other, it took a lot of convincing to finally to get Allen to do the sex scene and agreed to do it if they could get it in three shots and they did.

Popular Dialogues

"Frank Redbear: Koyaanisqatsi. It means life out of balance. My ancestors would have told you that man should be at one with the earth, the skies, and water. But the white man has never understood this. He only knows how to take. And after a while, there's nothing left to take. So, everything's out of balance. And we all fall down. John Garrett: Wait a minute... so that's what happened here in Gatlin? Frank Redbear: No... what happened in Gatlin was, those kids went ape-shit and killed everyone."

"John Garrett: Micah... did you see what happened? Micah: Some of it. John Garrett: Like what? Micah: My parents. John Garrett: You saw what happened to them? Micah: I saw the corn. John Garrett: What, were they out in the cornfield? Micah: Their blood was for the corn."
