Michael Gambon (Ghost of Christmas Present) also played Scrooge in the 2010 Doctor Who (2005) Christmas special Doctor Who: A Christmas Carol (2010).
Kate Winslet's song "What If". The film was critically panned and is largely forgotten, but the song shot to number 6 in the charts in its first week and became the Christmas number one in Ireland for 2001. The song is still fondly remembered and most people forget it came from the movie.
This movie along with The Muppet Christmas Carol (1992) are the only versions where the scene of the Cratchit family and Fred's party swap places. In the original story and on other film versions, the Cratchit dinner scene takes place before Fred's party.
Some versions of the film cut out the live-action scenes at the beginning and end of the movie.
Kate Winslet admitted that she isn't very proud of her singing in "What If".
